As a kid I would sneak away to the garage to sift through trays of miscellaneous parts at my father’s workbench. I was fascinated with the peculiar fittings, screws, bolts and whatever else looked interesting. I fulfilled my need to be inventive by piecing together parts to make unusual objects.
Today I sit at my own workbench, building cigar box ukuleles, banjos and various stringed instruments. Repurposing vintage parts to create art and music brings me great satisfaction.
